Join us for this popular art class for homeschoolers! Diana Zwhalen, a retired art teacher, uses her warm personality and decades of experience to bring joy to the process of creating art! She's great at choosing projects that work for a wide variety of skill levels, PLUS she knows the kinds of art kids love to do.
In this class:
This project will be a fun way to get excited about the Dec. 7th performance of The Stonelion Puppet Show just before the Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting and the arrival of Santa Clause!
In this class students will create a puppet using socks, fabrics, thread, yarn and a variety of mixed media.
If wanting to make a sock puppet each student should bring a sock. I will have some mismatched socks on hand.
Any contributions of fabric, yarn, etc. would be appreciated.
This class is limited to 10 students.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be using low temp glue guns.
If time allows we will make a puppet with moveable parts.
