Join us at the beautiful Stone Pillar Winery for our annual Plein Air event!

This event will be held during Stone Pillar’s Sweet 16: Sip & Shop event, so there’s lots of extra fun going on as well!

COST: FREE
All 2D mediums welcome, but photography will not be included in this event.
The event is geared towards older students (approximately high school)/adults. We will also provide coloring pages at the DAC table for younger artists who want to join in on the fun! (No child supervision will be provided). All artists are welcome, regardless of where you’re from!
Bring your own canvas/paper/etc., and all necessary supplies.
It’s FREE to participate. Cash prizes will be awarded.
We hope that judged art will be displayed after the show for up to a few months (though this is not a requirement). Art will be available for pick up after that display.
Day-of-Event Info:
Head to Stone Pillar Winery (29080 W. 95th St., De Soto, KS, 66018) by 12pm. (You can arrive later, but you only have until 4pm to complete your work if you’d like to be entered in the judging).
Go to the Arts Council booth with your canvas/paper and get it signed BEFORE starting your work.
Your canvas/paper MUST be pre-signed to be considered for a prize!
All art is due back to the booth by 4pm to be judged.
Judged work will be displayed for up to a few months (optional). Art will be available for pick up after the display.
Please plan to bring all of your materials and supplies needed. None will be provided.
Don’t forget extra supplies like water, hats, sunscreen, bug spray, chairs, easels, etc!
Restrooms are available , and food will be available to purchase from food trucks, but you may wish to bring your own lunch or eat beforehand.
This is a working small farm. The property has a variety of hazards, including, but not limited to live animals, farm equipment, uneven ground, native wildlife, things to trip over, etc. Please use caution as you explore the farm and be respectful of its owners. Please use common sense and do not visit areas that are unsafe or are not suited for your mobility. Neither the De Soto Arts Council nor Stone Pillar Winery/its owners are responsible for injury incurred during this event. Paint at your own risk!
